New Orleans Pelicans: 100-1

Even the New Orleans Pelicans finished 14 games under .500 this past year, but the 2014-15 effort must see them vault above the break-even mark.
That's a significant improvement, though it's as much a statement on the franchise's rotten luck a year ago as anything else. Jrue Holiday and ryan Anderson missed portions of the season with knee and back injuries. Anthony Davis and Eric Gordon lost time.
Better luck on the injury front, along with the massive inclusion of Omer Asik in the center, should propel the Pelicans forwards as they develop into a group worthy of Davis' presence. This year marks a critical milestone for the organization and Your Brow.
The Pelicans should now move themselves in the postseason conversation though not a championship-caliber squad:
Sean Highkin of ProBasketballTalk writes:
Whether they've enough to actually get there's a different discussion, and it's difficult to point to one team from last year's playoff crop that's very likely to fall out. But if Davis is as good as he is likely to be and everybody else remains relatively healthy, they have got a opportunity.
The Pelicans are building a skyscraper, and it would probably be sensible to get in on the ground floor.

INITIAL UFC 236 CARD ANNOUNCED

The UFC has been extremely busy over the past week, announcing several new bouts for upcoming fight cards. One of those cards is UFC 236, which takes place April 13 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Check out my ideas on the primary event between Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier here, and my thoughts on the other newly-announced bouts are under.
Eryk Anders vs. Khalil Rountree, UFC 236
Added to UFC 236 is an intriguing light heavyweight bout between Eryk Anders and Khalil Rountree. Anders (11-3) is just 3-3 in the UFC and is coming from a decision loss to Elias Theodorou. He's chosen to make the move up to light heavyweight forever and not cutting all that burden should help . Rountree (7-3, 1 NC) is 3-3, 1 NC in the UFC and is coming off of a KO loss to Johnny Walker. While Rountree has much more experience fighting as a light hearted and is a proven knockout artist, I still believe in Anders and think he has more potential than that which he is shown in the UFC up to now. The opening line should be close to a Pick ’em, but my early lean is towards Anders.
Paige VanZant vs. Poliana Botelho, UFC 236
Women's flyweights Paige VanZant and Poliana Botelho will clash at this function. VanZant (8-4) is 5-3 at the UFC and is coming from a submission win over Rachael Ostovich. Botelho (7-2) is 2-1 at the UFC but lost by submission to Cynthia Calvillo in her final struggle. I would definitely favor VanZant to get the win here and based on her popularity I would not be shocked if the line was hugely skewed in her favor.
Wilson Reis vs. Alexandre Pantoja, UFC 236
At a rare flyweight struggle, Wilson Reis takes on Alexandre Pantoja. Reis (23-9) is 7-5 at the UFC and conquered Ben Nguyen by decision in his last bout. Pantoja (20-3) is currently 4-1 at the UFC and is coming off of two straight wins over Brandon Moreno and Ulka Sasaki. Reis is a good veteran but all of the upside here is using Pantoja and that I hope him to be a tiny favorite at open. Expect the loser of the fight to be released as the UFC cuts almost every flyweight coming from a loss.
Ovince Saint-Preux vs. Nikita Krylov, UFC 236
In a rematch nobody asked , Ovince Saint-Preux takes on Nikita Krylov at a light heavyweight bout. St-Preux (23-12) is 11-7 at the UFC and is coming from a decision loss to Dominick Reyes. He's a gatekeeper at 205lbs and is no longer a true title contender. Krylov (24-6) is 6-4 in the UFC and has been filed by Jan Blachowicz in his last bout. OSP and Krylov formerly fulfilled at UFC 171 at 2014, with OSP winning by submission. I am not exactly sure why the UFC felt this rematch was necessary, but given their first fight went and how awful Krylov's submission defense is, I'd prefer OSP to overcome him once again.
Montel Jackson vs. Andre Soukhamthath, UFC 236
And finally, bantamweights Montel Jackson and Andre Soukhamthath match. Jackson (7-1) lost a decision to Ricky Simon in his UFC debut but bounced back nicely with a submission win over Brian Kelleher. Soukhamthath (13-6) is only 2-3 from the UFC but beat Jonathan Martinez by decision in his last struggle. Soukhamthath is too inconsistent to trust, and that I expect Jackson to be preferred here.

IAN MCCALL TALKS LATEST INJURY WHICH FORCED HIM OFF UFC FIGHT NIGHT 73

Ian McCall was supposed to fight Dustin Ortiz at UFC Fight Night 73 but sadly had to pull out because of injury. McCall (13-5) caught up with MMAOddsBreaker on Episode 115 of The Parting Shot Podcast this Sunday to discuss his most recent injury. Injury that forced him out of Dustin Ortiz fight at UFC Fight Night 73"I have a tear in my shoulder, in my labrum and a tear from my bicep. I mean I am literally at the physicians now talking about it. It is exactly what it is, we train hard and I'm fragile apparently. I have to pull out of a lot of s**t. It stinks, but when you train as hard as I do and you've been doing this as long as I do, its part of the game" Career Plagued with Injuries"My UFC career has been just been plagued with injuries and it is frustrating. This is my main source of income, I have other things I do however, that is my main source. I have a little girl to feed, I feed on my own and it sucks. But on a different note, this is my passion; this is precisely what I really like to perform. I am 31 years old, I'm not getting younger I have already been in struggles for 13 years. To watch my body neglect me time and time again it is hard. It is one of those things it makes you wonder a good deal. I'm such a healthy individual, my household is like incredibly healthy, and you know my kid really needs a very strict diet. I have had my hip, groin tear, that is awful. I'm sure I'll need to get a hip replacement . I have had three hand surgeries. I got into a car accident not too long ago and messed up my shoulder. It's always something, but it's far better than having an actual job." Getting Positive and Optimistic"A lot of my life I have been a pessimist to become honest. I look at it in various ways, it might be worse, I might be dead. I could have lost full use of my arm or whatever. There are a lot of things I consider. I have to keep a positive mindset because I have to be a fantastic role model for team-mates and my child. It is one of those things I am not going to sit around and sulk. That's what it is, I will be al right." Ideas on Demetrious Johnson vs. John Dodson II at UFC 191"Demetrious is ever evolving and I believe that now he has found a bit more power in his punches. His entire game is always changing and getting better. I believe he will beat Dodson, is he likely to finish [him]? I don't know. I think this will be one guy he'll have difficulty finishing. He ended Horoguchi with one second left, and as far as I wish to beat his face , he is outstanding. He is the precise guy you want as winner in regards to performance. I'm likely to go together on this one for sure." Loss to John Lineker"Oh man which was enormous. I got overly emotional; I showed the very first round I could definitely beat him. People were just like'Oh he is a bantamweight' I don't care; the man still is not very good I should have beat him. I believe I showed that you're not going to knock me out even though you are a big puncher. My face is going to split open before you knock me out and that's precisely what occurred. With me it's outside matters, they constantly distract me, girl problems or what have you. I just kind of fell apart after that first round. I'm smart enough to understand that I was going to drop that struggle sitting . Anthony Kiedis and Dane White came around and said hello and I am just kind of love, I am screwed. That was a psychological thing, that's always been my main downfall. I have a brand new mental coach, he's my mind Sherpa. He is overall made me a much better individual. So far as my optimism goes, he is a big part of it." Feeling Overlooked in Flyweight Division"I wouldn't say overlooked, there's other folks to discuss. I blew it with John; I screwed up in this struggle. So maybe I don't deserve to be talked about it. Let us say this harm is just 6 months, they'll talk about me after that, that is alright. You can find other people that deserve it. It does matter how good I could be or how great I am, it's not my turn. DJ needs individuals to struggle, the branch needs people to shake and move and make a big stink. I do not mind it, it's cool, anything." Raising a daughter as one dad"Yeah it's not easy; realistically I do not know anything about women. I know how to get one in mattress that's about it. I sit there sometimes and stare at her like'what is going on?' Don't cut your hair, do not put soap in areas, like I don't know. Realistically I have a lot aid, I live together with my dad. My father got a divorce, he explained move in, and I'll assist you. My daddy's retired so he sort of plays mommy on a daily basis. My step mom is still about; my kid's grandma is about so I do have a lot of assistance. So I'm not going to say I'm doing so alone, because I'm not. It takes a village to raise a kid and I got a village of folks around me. Even though there are times where I must take her to the gym, there is always some one there. She is pretty damn independent I will take her to the beach; she can run about and swim on her own. She is going to be fine." UFC Reebok Uniforms"I'd like to work for a fashion design company; the only real fighters I hang out with are people I'm forced to hang out with or my buddies. I hang out with artists, fashion designers, artists and musicians and stuff. They are hideous, such as Jose Aldo stated we seem like f***kin Power Rangers. The equipment is really comfy; obviously Reebok makes a fantastic item. I really don't know who made the layout, no matter what generation we are in 80's 90's, which does not match anything, it's just awful. But perhaps I am wrong; maybe I am looking for something a little cooler looking. Its performance based equipment; that is all that matters. It's an evolution of the sport. We needed it to excel, sure we are not likely to have paid that much money but it's what it is. In case you have a issue then quit, these are the amounts we have to deal with. Now if you're smart and you are able to market yourself and promote yourself in manners like I've. I have outside patrons; I have Layrite, which is similar to a hair and mustache product. I've got a great deal of clothes and lifestyle companies. I get a good deal of exposure from stuff like that. People today need to learn t to step outside the boxmake money for themselves and have a wise agent" Thoughts on Reebok Deal"Yeah that would have been nice, but at exactly the same time they run a small business. They operate a multi-billion dollar company that's a premiere sports league. If you see the machine which is the UFC, from the inside it is incredible. The people are great; the business design is simply amazing. I wouldn't ever say anything bad about how it's all operate, it is amazing if you enjoy company. The thing is they didn't need to consult us because it's their business. We are a commodity; as much as I wish to say cool we should be earning money such as baseball, soccer and basketball. Since we ought to we are actually putting our lives on the line. But we are not and I do not want to estimate Urijah Faber, he stated'I never got into this for the cash' frankly I catch it, I'm a businessman." Outside sponsors"Financially I am going to be fine. I am always going to find methods [to make money]. I own a portion of a social media company, I own a show that I host called Direct Endorsement, and it is a significant charity thing. I've got other things that's going to make me money, so I will be fine. I do feel for guys that don't have much else or guys that aren't that smart. But that's their own fault, figure out it it's not rocket science" Being on Joe Rogan's"Fight Companion" series"Yeah I was talking to Joe not too long ago. I've a growing friendship with Joe for a long time, we constantly talk about it but it is a little bit of a drive from my house with all the traffic. I'll be up there soon, I have to do some things in the area so I'll be on there shortly." You follow Ian on Twitter @Unclecreepymma along with his host DirectEndorcements.com. 2019 STP 500 NASCAR 03/24/19 Odds, Preview and Predictions

The first of four scheduled Excursions to Virginia is on Sunday, March 24th with the 71st running of the STP 500 at the Martinsville Speedway in Ridgeway, Virginia.

The Martinsville Speedway is the shortest trail in the Dragon Energy NASCAR Cup Series. The STP 500 is the first of two races here with the second one being the First Data 500 in the NASCAR Playoffs.

Clint Bowyer won the race last year and this season, another loaded field is set to go into the race with several drivers who can definitely win the event. Let us take a peek at who the oddsmakers believe are likely to function as drivers to watch this weekend.

"Racing" The Favorites

Kyle Busch is the favorite to win against the STP 500. After winning the Ticket Guardian 500 in Arizona last March 10th, Busch kept the pace with another victory in the Car Club 400 in California. With back to back wins at the previous two weekends, no wonder Kyle Busch deserves to be the +162 favorite here. Busch has finished no lower than 6th place in six out of his past seven races entire and as soon as it concerns the STP 500, he won here in 2016, ended runner-up from the previous two years and has placed at least 5th in each of his last seven appearances here at the Martinsville Speedway.

Martin Truex Jr. place 8th last week at the Automobile Club Speedway. The 2017 Dragon Energy NASCAR Series Cup winner has five Top 10 finishes in seven races this season including three in the Top 5. Heading for this weekend, Trues has finished no worse than fourth in his last three races at the Martinsville Speedway.

2017 winner Brad Keselowski has placed at 6th in four out of his last six looks at the STP 500. Keselowski also enjoys racing at the Martinsville Speedway as he's finished no lower than 5th in six out of his last eight races here.

Joey Logano finished next to Busch at California last weekend but while he came up short again, Logano has three Top 5 finishes already this season, including a win in the Pennzoil 400 final month in Las Vegas. It is interesting that he's won just once here in Martinsville Speedway however that victory came in his last race , the First Data 500 last October 2018.

Denny Hamlin has not picked up a success since his triumph in the Daytona 500 last season but he's definitely been consistent. Hamlin is averaging a 6.8 finish in his first five races this season and is doing a good job holding his own in the Drivers Championship. Hamlin has won thrice, the last being in 2015, with only Richard Petty, Darren Waltrip, and Rusty Wallace winning more than him. In addition, he holds two victories at the Martinsville Speedway while hurrying at the Camping Truck World Series.

Trusted Sports Betting Sites This page is intended to offer you the rundown on what to look for in a gaming site. Nobody wants to have a bad experience with any company they do business with, and gambling websites are no different.
When evaluating any gambling website, we search for the following:
Sort of bets — Does the site provide moneyline, point spread, parlay, props, teasers and totals stakes? Do they offer live betting? Are there a vast range of sporting events to select from? What games lines are available? Are there traces on NFL, NBA, NHL, EPL, MLB and other important sports leagues?
Trustworthiness — Does the sportsbook have a good reputation?
Odds — Can you toggle between American odds (Vegas odds) and decimal odds?
Bonuses and Rewards — What incentives do they offer sports bettors? How many promotions can be found weekly? What does the sportsbook's affiliate program demand? Are there any specific mobile promotions?
Additional Characteristics — Does the site have a casino, live a racebook? Are there other options besides betting on sports?
Usability — Is the site responsive? Does it take long to load? Is the website effortless to navigate?
Deposit and draw options — Can the sportsbook accept credit cards? E-wallets? Checks? Do they let you withdraw your winnings readily?
Customer support accessibility — What happens in the event that you require assistance with your account? Are they available to answer inquiries 24/7? Do they have a live chat feature to respond to comments, issues or account issues?
Currencies and languages — Can they accept many currencies? Can you see the site in various languages? For the most part, English is the universal language used, but it is important that a sportsbook has other choices like Spanish, Portuguese or French.
Any of the sportsbooks we recommend above are safe, secure and hit all the marks from our list. There are a lot of online betting sites to count, which explains the reason why Odds Shark has completed the vetting for you. It would not be possible for you to test out every single sportsbook on the Internet. You'd miss whole seasons of all major sports. We can not have that.
What Makes an Ideal Betting Experience?
As the old expression goes,"Customer service is key." We are not sure who said that initially, but it's something which bettors should consider when seeing any sportsbook.
Contrary to Las Vegas, where you are able to physically visit a bookmaker in a casino resort, online gaming sites are basically virtual casinos that accept real money to bet on major sports leagues (and some minor leagues also ). But this does not signify a web-based sportsbook's address is simply located online. Any respectable sportsbook is going to have a physical address based on its website along with contact information. Some will even have a FAQ or"About Us" section that you could review to help you feel comfortable about betting there.
Another important source you can use to study online betting sites is social media. Any trusted sportsbook should have a social networking presence they can use as a valuable customer service tool. After and/or"Liking" the betting site empowers sports bettors see the way the business communicates and interacts with all potential and current clients. If a betting website is responsive on interpersonal media, you can see that they really care about their clients and are receptive to feedback.
Finding the Right Online Sports Betting Site for You
The online books we recommend are good at every aspect of sports betting, casino wagering, poker, and horse racing. Whatever you're looking for in an Internet gambling site, do not settle for anything less than one which caters directly to your needs and provides all the features you need as a bettor. If you're searching for live odds so that you may bet on any given NFL game on any given Sunday, then be certain that the sportsbook you choose offers precisely that. If you are into betting college sports such as March Madness, ensure that the sports betting website you use offers game lines and odds on the NCAA basketball game you're watching. The reason we urge these sportsbooks is since they are proficient in all aspects of gambling.
Casino and Poker
One of the wonderful things about the betting is if your done with your NFL props, a football futures bet or betting school basketball hoop, you can take a break and check out a sportsbook's casino offering. Most gambling sites have their particular brand of slot machines, table games (blackjack, roulette, baccarat), live dealer poker and poker rooms.
As you're using the identical sportsbook for your own casino and betting needs, you can return and forth easily to have a look at the score of the soccer, basketball or NBA game you are betting on involving hands of poker. Betting MLB while playing casino games? Sounds like a fun day.
Ready to wager on Sports?
Odds Shark intends to take your best interests into account — combining our knowledge of the online betting company, its history, the way they appeal to their existing clients, and also what promotions they use to attract players that are new.
You can also do your own research by producing accounts at multiple sportsbooks to see which one (or ones) you like best. Start looking for lines and odds on your favorite sports to bet on. Most gambling websites will provide you a hefty welcome bonus or perhaps decreased juice when you sign up.
Another fantastic way to decide whether a sportsbook is worth your time is to play on the website to get knowledgeable about the layout. See what the graphics are like and if they're too flashy (or not flashy enough) for you. If a site is cluttered with images that seem out of place, you could have difficulty locating the gambling lines you're looking for.
What's more, if a site looks great in your desktop computer but is impossible to scroll through on your phone, it's a sign that the sportsbook should get with the times. Mobile gambling is equally vital as wagering on your own notebook computer, whether you utilize Android or Apple products. Most bookmakers will get an app or mobile-optimized site, making it simple to wager out of your handheld device (iPad, Tablet). Additionally, with mobile gambling, you can place your bets on the move. Next time you are at the dentist waiting to get a cleanup, why not just take out your phone and determine what the future odds are on the Super Bowl? It will definitely help the time pass.
Additionally, if you have some questions which still require responses after checking out any of those sports gambling sites we recommend above, contact the sportsbook directly. The best gaming websites care about their clients and will take the time needed to secure your business and keep it.
Creating an Account
Enrolling in an internet gaming website is a easy procedure. You'll want to supply some private information such as your name, email and region. How you want to finance your account is up to you. Just be sure that you have your deposit info handy — more on that below — since after the sign-up procedure is complete, you put your initial bet.
Deposit Options
Playing for real money at your sportsbook of choice involves locating a deposit option that makes sense for your requirements. The vast majority of gambling sites permit you to make deposits with your credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX), e-wallets (PayPal, Neteller, Skrill), and debit.
As we go closer and closer to a completely digitized world, more and more online sports betting websites will accept cryptocurrency as a deposit system. Generally, you will find gambling sites that take Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dash and Ethereum. You could find yourself at the end of a crypto bonus since some betting websites offer special promotions for people who utilize Bitcoin.
Some sportsbooks permit you to withdraw your winnings with the same choice you used to fund your accounts, but others demand a different system to collect your money. Depending on the website, you can receive your winnings by means of a paper check or whether you use a credit card or cryptocurrency as your deposit, you can use it to withdraw your funds too. You can also leave your winnings in your account and use it to keep gambling.
Now that you are equipped with enough information to get you started, select a sportsbook from our list and you are all set to wager.

MMA ODDS AND ENDS FOR FRIDAY: CRUZ RUMORED TO RETURN AT UFC 177

The former bantamweight champion might be returning to the cage this summer for the first time in almost 3 years. It was reported that this week on UFC Tonight that Dominick Cruz, the former UFC bantamweight champion, is targeting a return to the Octagon at UFC 177, which is set to take place August 30 in Las Vegas, Nevada. According to Cruz' head trainer at Alliance MMA in San Diego, Eric Del Fierro, their camp needs Cruz to take on top competition Takeya Mizugaki in his comeback game. With a triumph over Mizugaki, Cruz would place himself near getting another crack at the belt in 135lbs. Cruz has not fought since October 2011, when he conquered present UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson via five-round unanimous decision in a strategic event. Total Cruz defended the UFC/WEC bantamweight title four occasions between 2010 and 2011 before suffering a significant knee injury in 2012 which has kept him out of the cage for over two years now. However, it ought to be noted that he has one of the greatest winning streaks of fighter in the division with 10-straight successes over the likes of Urijah Faber, Brian Bowles, Joseph Benavidez, Scott Jorgensen, Ian McCall, as well as the above Johnson. Despite missing so much time, the UFC allow him hold on his belt until this past year, when enough was enough and also the promotion stripped the name from him and gave it into interim bantamweight champ Renan Barao. UFC president Dana White explained that Cruz would garner an immediate name shot upon his return into the cage, but with TJ Dillashaw upsetting Barao and carrying the title this past May in UFC 173, it makes more sense for Cruz to combat someone else before getting another crack at the belt. A fight between Cruz and Mizugaki are outstanding, and it would help ascertain where exactly"The Dominator" fits in the branch at the current time. At one stage he had been considered one of the best five pound-for-pound fighters in the world, but after missing a long time with injury and having so much cage rust, it makes sense for him to fight somebody first before getting his title shot, and the matchup between Mizugaki makes a great deal of sense. If this struggle goes does, Cruz would put in the fight as a slight favorite but with this much time off and with Mizugaki on this a nice streak right now, there is no way it's a gimme struggle by any means and there could certainly be an upset brewing if Cruz isn't anywhere near what he was used to look like.

Villanova University's men's basketball team represents Villanova University and competes in the Big East Conference of NCAA Division I College basketball.

Their first period was that the 1920–21 year old. Called the"Wildcats", Villanova is a member of the Philadelphia Big Five, five Philadelphia college basketball teams that share a passionate competition.
The Wildcats have won the National Championship three times: 1985, 2016, and 2018. Their 1985 NCAA championship as an 8 seed still stands as the lowest seed ever to win the title. The sport is referred to as"The fantastic Game" since they shot a record 78.6% as a group for the game (22 for 28, including 9 for 10 in the second half). [2] Their 2016 NCAA Championship, is referred to as"The Perfect Ending" and is the sole NCAA Men's Championship match to be won on a buzzer beater, as Kris Jenkins emptied a shot as time expired. The Latest: Cup Series race at Daytona begins a day late

5:30 p.m.

Justin Haley has won the rain-shortened Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway, his first at NASCAR's top level.

Haley took the lead under warning – Kurt Busch surrendered the top spot when he pitted for new tires – and was declared the winner after heavy rain followed two lightning delays. You will find 33 laps left when the 160-lap race was halted.

Haley was 27th when chief Austin Dillon triggered a 17-car crash that took out almost half the area and the majority of the best contenders. He passed a range of wrecked automobiles and then a few more that made pit stops.

The 20-year-old Haley won't lock in a place in the playoffs, however. He's a fulltime driver in the second-tier Xfinity Series and was making his third Cup Series beginning – all for newcomer Spire Motorsports. The team's No. 77 Chevrolet can secure a postseason bid, but only if it winds up in the top 30 in points.

However, it was a fitting end for the closing July race in NASCAR's most famous track.

The event, which was postponed a day because of rain, was plagued with inclement weather and filled with unpredictable winners in recent decades. It's moving to late August in 2020 – the regular-season finale – included in NASCAR's significant schedule shake-up.

William Byron finished second, followed closely by seven-time Cup champion Jimmie Johnson and Ty Dillon. Manufacturer Chevrolet won for the second successive week and took the top four places.

Ryan Newman was fifth in a Ford.

4:30 p.m.

Drivers Bubba Wallace and Daniel Hemric amused lovers during two lightning flaws by throwing a football across the trail and into the stands.

Wallace and Hemric every had a few errant throws and got booed a little.

But it certainly gave fans a reason to stick around for more than an hour without any racing.

3:18 p.m.

Lighting has halted the NASCAR race at Daytona International Speedway with Justin Haley at the lead.

The 20-year-old Haley is a part-time driver for newcomer Spire Motorsports. He finished second in Friday night's second-tier Xfinity Series race whilst driving for Kaulig Racing. That is his third Cup Series start.

Kurt Busch was leading the 400-mile race after a 17-car mess. But Busch ducked onto pit road for fuel under warning. That left Haley front, and as soon as the red flag was brought out due to a nearby lightning strike, it left Busch in 18th. As cars were parked and coated on pit road.

3 p.m.

With dark clouds looming and also the close of the race in sight, leader Austin Dillon wrecked almost half the field at Daytona International Speedway.

"The Big One" happened on Lap 119 in Turn 1 and involved 17 cars – many of these at the front of the area.

Clint Bowyer was pushing Dillon to front on the outside and made a hard move left to attempt and pass the leader. Dillon turned left in No. 3 Chevrolet, tagged Bowyer and then began spinning and taking out competitors.

"I guess that he did not need me to pass him," Bowyer said.

All four Joe Gibbs Racing automobiles – Deny Hamlin, Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr. and defending race winner Erik Jones – were included. So were Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney and Chase Elliott.

"I was being aggressive and trying to keep the lead," Dillon said." That's exactly what you get."

Kurt Busch was able to get through the melee unscathed.

Memphis Grizzlies: 50-1

We have reached the first team that could win a ring this season without fully shocking the populace: the Memphis Grizzlies.
Rest assured a championship for the Grizzlies, who barely made it into the postseason last year with a list of 50-32 (the 17th reminder the West is loaded), could be a surprise. Zach Randolph is 33, and Mike Miller, a crucial floor-spacing shooter in last year's underwhelming offense, followed LeBron James into the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Scoring, as always, will be a problem for the Grizz.
But this team will defend like mad, particularly with a slimmed-down Marc Gasol patrolling the middle forward of his 2015 free agency. Toss in Tony Allen, the NBA's scariest perimeter stopper, and you've got the key components for a league-best defense.
Vince Carter remains a valuable wing defender who can conduct a pick-and-roll and hit the three, and Mike Conley is a playoff-tested fighter who just keeps getting better.
And keep in mind, we have seen this Grizzlies core knock off the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder in playoff series within the previous four decades. Nobody scares Memphis from the postseason.
If the Grizzlies can stay healthy and Gasol puts up a big year, they're a dark-horse contender.
